When you have a huge Adoption credit and Day Care credit!!!!
I sat down the other evening and began the process of filling out the forms: Turbo tax is so awesome. . .I've been doing it on Turbo tax for over 10 years and I absolutely love it. When we have had major life changes: moved into a new home, school loan, closing out our participation in a Stock Club, adoption expenses. . .this program talks you through it all and helps you find every possible deduction! It's so great.
And so now, our refund will be a nice one, enough to replace our air conditioner and replace the front around the front door and a couple of other things too. Yeah!
Taxes are done: signed, sealed, delivered, I'm done! Whew!

Yay! What a great feeling!! My company didn't even send out our w-2's yet! Hopefully we will have them by next week.
About your comment - too funny! I think it is the adoptive parents that have more fun learning the culture and languages. It seems the children are sometimes not interested at all! That is the case with a friend of mine's 13-yr-old. He was adopted from Russia 7 years ago. Right now he has no interest in learning Russian, but she always tries to teach him stuff!
You are very much like me. I plan on doing my taxes tomorrow. Thank goodness for the adoption tax credit.

I am going out and buying my Turbo Tax this week and starting our taxes. Hopefully this will be a better year than next! Well, glad to hear all of your expenses last year helped you out. That is a good thing! LOVE YA!
