Blizzard 2010

Yep. That's what I would call it. We're currently looking at about 30 inches or so and it is still snowing. It's not expected to stop until sometime this evening. It's a bit overwhelming to look at, to be honest. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. . .so, here's a few thousand for you!

Fortunatealy, storms like this one don't come around too often. They say this may the biggest to hit the D. C. area in 100 years. The last one even close was in 1996 and shut this whole area down for a week. Wonder how long this one will take to clean up??? I just hope it doesn't all melt at once. . .

Fortunately we only lost our power for half hour. But, thousands are out. I'm not sure when Pat will be home again! Thank God for wonderful neighbors and our collectively owned snow blower. Otherwise, no one on our pipestem would be going anywhere fast!

Little man is zonked after playing with the neighbor girls for a couple of hours. I think he'll sleep good.

WOW! That is a lot of snow! . . . More than us, but at least you'll get to see the bare ground before late April . . ;->
