Kitty Hawk, North Carolina By A. J. Harrison

Mama and I arrived safely in Kitty Hawk. We've been here since 6:00 pm this evening and already we have:
* turned our little nose up at North Carolina BBQ (Daddy was shocked!)
* gotten covered in sand when we got knocked down by a wave
* called home to tell Grandpa we arrived safely
* laughed at mama when the wave got her pants wet
* Laughed with Daddy when mama dropped her Blackberry in the water ( I think it will be okay when it dries out.)
* cried when it was time to go in for a bath

And it's only 8:20 on our first night! We're going to have fun. . .

We're right by a pier where the fireworks should be set off! How cool will this Independence Day be? : )
